Why we didn’t buy a house …
Or I guess this could be entitled “Why you shouldn’t go five years without seeing a dentist.” It has been that long for me. We were excited as Joe’s work just offered us optional dental insurance. We signed up and I scheduled appointments. I went in knowing that I would need some work, especially since I have a broken tooth which is quite painful. After x-rays and dentist examination, here was the verdict:
11 cavities
How embarrasing!
It gets worse, 2 of them might be root canals. Yikes!
So yes, we are very glad that we waited to buy a house, as our “downpayment” will be going to fix our teeth.
Hopefully, Joe will do better than me; it’s been 8 years for him, but none of his teeth are bothering him.

yeah! you finally posted! and i’m sorry about your teeth. we spent $1500 about 1 1/2 years ago on aaron’s 6 cavities and a root canal with no dental insurance (just “discounted dental” through BYU insurance). hope your bill is smaller than ours was! i guess that’s why we save, right?
